Beautiful vintage black leather evening bag
This appears to date from the 1930s or 1940s given the design of the inside
The smooth black leather is ridged and glossy
Considering its age it is in exceptional condition with just a few signs of wear
Inside is lined in mauve moire fabric
It has an inner pocket which holds a tiny purse on a very fine metal chain
There are pockets that hold a matching covered mirror and a dance card with a tiny pencil.
The central purse pocket is kid lined and closes with a clasp
The words "British Make" are embossed onto the frame and metal clasp on the front
The clasp on the bag does work but is a little loose and does pop open sometimes
It measures 8" x 5.5" x 1.5"
