RARE and collectable 1950's box handbag or purse by famous designers Dorset Rex, 5th Avenue, New York.
The bag is a silver tone or chrome metal with a rigid frame and woven design.
Slightly curved shape with black velvet fabric sides.
Metal curved handle on the top.
Turnlock to fasten.
Lined in black satin with inside zipped pocket and Dorset Rex fabric label.
Stunning design which has an Art Deco feel.
In good condition with some light wear, scratches and tarnish to the metal, light wear to the lining fabric.
There is a slight "dent" to one side of the frame. This can be seen in the photos.
Please note the base is slightly curved so the bag does not stand up when closed.
